If SaRA bills for your practice, our billing team needs a few details from you before your first claims can go out. This page shows where they live and what each one is for.
Where to find it
Sign in at app.sarahealth.com, open Manage from the menu, and choose the Billing setup tab. Only the practice owner sees this tab. If you filled these in during onboarding, you will see your answers already there. You can change them at any time.
What is on the page, top to bottom
EHR and clearinghouse. Tap the systems you use. A clearinghouse is the service that carries your claims to payers. If you are not sure which one you use, your EHR vendor or your current biller will know.
Billing details. Your Medicare PTAN (the number Medicare gave your practice), the web address where our billers sign in to your EHR, and how your practice bills: independent practice, hospital outpatient, or CORF.
Your Waystar account. This section only appears if you chose Waystar as your clearinghouse. Enter your Waystar account name and account number. Both are required.
Billing contact. The person our billing team should email about claims, enrollment forms, and billing questions. Add their name, role, and email, and tell us whether they can sign payer enrollment forms.
SaRA team EHR accounts. The two logins you create in your EHR for our billers, using the email shown on each card. Tick the box once each account exists.
Press Save selections at the bottom. Your answers go straight to our billing team.
Why we ask for your Waystar account
If your practice already sends claims through Waystar, your payer enrollments already exist there. With your account name and number, our team copies those enrollments into SaRA's billing account. Your Medicare and other claims keep flowing without new paperwork. Without them, every payer has to be enrolled from scratch, and that means forms for you to sign and weeks of waiting.
Where to find your Waystar account name and number: sign in to your Waystar portal and look at your account settings, or ask the vendor that manages your Waystar account for you. Many EHR vendors manage it on your behalf.
Why we ask for a billing contact
Some payers only accept enrollment forms signed by the person they have on file for your practice. That is often not the owner. Telling us who that person is, and whether they can sign, saves a round of emails on every enrollment.
Our billing team cannot start claim enrollment until the Waystar account (if you use Waystar) and the billing contact are filled in. If either is blank, you will hear from us asking for it.
Questions?
Message us from the chat bubble in SaRA or email [email protected]. If you are not sure what to enter in a field, tell us what you do know and we will take it from there.
