If your practice already has its own Waystar account: share your Waystar account name and account number with us (the onboarding form has a spot for both). We can copy your existing enrollments from there, and in most cases you won't need to do anything else.
If your practice doesn't have a Waystar account, some payers require one of two things:
A signature form. We email you the form. Sign and date it and send it back to us. We handle everything after that.
A few steps in the payer's portal. Some payers, for example Tricare, ask the practice to complete a short set of steps in their own online portal. We send you the instructions, and you reply to let us know when they're done.
How long it takes: once your part is complete, Waystar finishes its piece within 1 to 2 days. The payer's approval can take anywhere from a few days up to 45 business days, depending on the payer.
Not every payer requires enrollment. The common ones that do are Medicare, some Medicaid plans, Tricare, and some Blue Cross plans. We tell you which of your payers need it.
