Adding your second or fifth location should feel the same as adding your first. This guide walks a company owner through getting a new clinic live in SaRA, from the Add clinic form to the first enrolled patient.
1. Add the clinic in SaRA
Sign in at app.sarahealth.com as the company owner and open Manage, then the Clinics tab. Only owners see the Add clinic button.
Click Add clinic and fill in the form:
Preferred name. This is the name patients see in their texts, for example "Hi Jordan, this is Downtown Clinic". If you leave it blank, we display a name built from your company name and the clinic address.
Facility NPI. The location's own NPI, verified against the NPI Registry. The form links the registry search if you need to look it up.
Taxonomy code. The specialty code tied to that NPI.
Tax ID (EIN). Only needed when this location bills under its own Tax ID. Leave it blank to use your company Tax ID.
Admin phone and billing address. The billing address matters. A clinic missing its NPI or billing address shows in the Needs Attention count on the Clinics page until the fields are filled in.
Management enabled team members. Pick who can manage this clinic's settings and team.
Click Create and the clinic appears in your list. Nothing changes for your existing locations, and no patients move anywhere.
2. Set up your EMR templates for the new clinic
RTM documentation lives in your EMR, so the new location needs the same template updates your first clinic got: the RTM codes, the goals language, medical necessity, and the follow-up visit fields. If the new clinic shares your existing EMR setup, confirm those fields carry over. If it runs on its own EMR instance or its own template set, repeat the setup there.
The full walkthrough: Setting up your EMR templates for RTM documentation.
This is the easiest step to miss. A new location without the template updates will not block anything in SaRA, but its visit notes will be missing the RTM documentation your billing relies on.
3. Give the clinic its team
Team members live on the Team Members tab of the same Manage page.
New hires: add them there and pick the new clinic when you assign their clinic access.
Existing team members who will cover the new location: edit their profile and add the new clinic to their clinic access. Each person keeps exactly one default clinic.
More detail in Adding and removing team members in SaRA and Providers who cover multiple clinics.
4. Enroll the first patient
Once a provider at the new clinic is set up, enroll the first patient exactly the way you do at your other locations. From that point the new clinic shows up everywhere the rest of your practice does, from the patient list to the Billing page.
If the front desk at the new location is new to SaRA, hand them How to introduce SaRA to your patients. It has word for word scripts for enrollment conversations.
Stuck? We're easy to reach
